Each business attaches to a good deed

On every occasion of War Invalids and Martyrs’ Day (July 27), various sources are mobilised at all levels to care for the national contributors. The Kind-Heart Foundation (VinGroup) is one of the enterprises with practical contribution.

Kind-Heart Foundation sponsors the expenses to provide free health checkup and medicines to the national contributors in Huu San commune (Son Dong district).

Ly Minh Tuan, Director of Kind-Heart Foundation said the Foundation has annually spent about 2 billion VND (over 85,700 USD) on average to such activities of supporting to build humanitarian house, visiting, gifting and giving scholarships to the war invalids, sick soldiers and their children since 2012.

“We take regular cooperation with the provincial Red Cross Society to organize free health checkup and medicine supply to the national contributors in which prioritises the old and weak cases suffering from frequent sickness and those living in difficult areas so as to increase the effectiveness and meaning of the support source,” Tuan shared.

Recently, a similar programme has been held at 6 communes of An Lac, Huu San (Son Dong district); Cam Son, Tan Son (Luc Ngan district); Dong Son, Dong Huu (Yen The district) with a total expense of more than 360 million VND (over 15,400 USD).

In response of the gratitude activities together with the provincial enterprise community, every year, leaders and workers of BGG Bac Giang Garment Corporation Joint Stock Company (Bac Giang city) donate one day salary and business benefit to the funds, including the local Gratitude Fund.

Besides, on the every War Invalids and Martyrs’ Day, the company holds meeting to present gifts to the labors working here who are the martyrs’ children while the trade union groups review and timely propose to support house reparation to the policy beneficiaries living in difficulty.

Benefit accompanies social responsibility

Via mobilizing the socialization sources, especially the accompany of many local firms, the movement “paying debts of gratitude ” in the province has achieved several outstanding results, helping remarkably improve the life of war invalids, wounded soldiers and policy beneficial families.

Typically 45 Company Limited under Dong Bac Corporation, Ministry of National Defence (Son Dong district); Ha Phong Export Garment Joint Stock Company (Hiep Hoa district) supported to build houses to the policy beneficial families. Ha Bac Export Garment Joint Stock Company (Viet Yen district) joined hand with Hong Thai communal Youth Union to launch programme “lighting the candle to pay tribute to the martyrs at the communal martyrs cemetery” and present gifts to the disadvantaged policy beneficiaries.

Additionally, Viet Thang Company Limited (Bac Giang city) provided expense to help members of the war veteran association develop the economic model while Bac Giang Seedling Joint Stock Company supported quality varieties of rice and vegetables to the beneficial families.

Nguyen Xuan Vuong, Secretary of the Party Committee of the provincial Enterprise Block said: “Paying tribute to the national contributors is among the key tasks that the Party Committee of the block keeps calling for the members’ participation. Since 2010, the enterprises have donated about 234 billion VND (over 10 million USD) to the provincial welfare programmes in which a major part is used to care for the life of war invalids, wounded soldiers and policy beneficial families”.

“To realize this result, every year we build a plan and call for the enterprises to respond and donate money, kinds or hold programme to show gratitude to the national contributors while issuing the criteria such as evaluating the business for the community and tribute to the revolutionary contributors in order to reward the firms, widespread the typical models and uphold the national “When drinking the water, remembering its source” of the Vietnamese”, Vuong expressed.

Lantern festival marks invalids, martyrs’ day

A lantern floating festival was held on Thach Han river in Quang Tri town of the central province of the same name on July 19 to mark the 72nd anniversary of the War Invalids and Martyrs’ Day (July 27).

Bac Giang’s localities carry out a number of activities towards martyrs’ day

(BGO)- On the 72nd anniversary of War Invalid and Martyrs' Day July 27 (1947 - 2019), the People’s Committee of Hiep Hoa district in northern province of Bac Giang has been organising 5 delegations to visit and present gifts to 10 national contributors in the district by 25 July. 

Completing house support for revolutionary contributors in 2019

(BGO) – On April 17, Vice Chairman of the Bac Giang provincial People’s Committee (PPC) Le Anh Duong chaired a meeting to review and assess the result of house support for the revolutionary contributors in the province according to the Decision No.22/2013/QD-TTg issued by the Government Prime Minister. 

Over 332 billion VND for presenting gifts to revolution contributors

Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc has agreed to authorise the Minister of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs to submit a plan to present gifts to revolution contributors on the occasion of the 72nd anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day to the State President for proposal.
