Overseas Vietnamese in Singapore organised a cultural fair titled “Vietnam Lah! 2019” in the city-state on September 14, drawing the participation of more than 1,000 people.
The fair, held on the occasion of the 74th National Day of Vietnam and the mid-Autumn festival, aims to introduce Vietnamese culture to international friends and Singaporean people in particular.

Visitors to the event can experience diverse cultural traits with various folk games and specialties of all regions of Vietnam.
President of the Vietnamese Students Association in Singapore Mai Tuan Minh said the fair is hoped to connect the Vietnamese community and promote the country’s images in Singapore.

Meanwhile, Nguyen Tri Khue Phuc, who has lived and worked in Singapore for 17 years, said the event has helped her children understand more about Vietnamese culture and reach out to other OVs in Singapore.
