February 1, 2024 was an important historical milestone for Viet Yen as it officially became a township, so the Party committee, authorities and people of all strata were very happy.

Early in the morning, the leaders of Viet Yen township inspected the situation in a number of units and encouraged them to work. On the first day of working at the new headquarters, with modern and spacious facilities, the staff of the township's one-stop shop were happy and motivated to strive to fulfill their tasks well.

At the unit for handling procedures related to social insurance with the most citizens gathering, Duong Thi Hao from Me village, Nghia Trung commune said: "According to habit, I went to the old one-stop shop to apply for an insurance policy but found it closed. When I read the sign carefully, I came to the right place. Unexpectedly, the new headquarters is beautiful and spacious, and the staff were enthusiastic, so I quickly completed the administrative procedures."

Local people are instructed to proceed administrative procedure.

Like Hao, some citizens went to the old headquarters of the one-stop shop, but when instructed, they reached the new location. The steps of taking order numbers and waiting for administrative procedures to be resolved took place smoothly.

In Quang Minh ward, Tran Van Hanh, Chairman of the ward People's Committee, said that right from the morning of February 1, the ward held a quick meeting requesting the local officials to raise their sense of responsibility in performing their duties; improve professionalism and quality of serving the people.

Nguyen Dai Luong, Chairman of the Viet Yen township People's Committee, held that from the first day of urban administration operation, agencies and units in the township immediately caught up with the new model.

To achieve the above results, Viet Yen had made careful preparations, clearly defining timelines and tasks. Viet Yen determined that becoming a township is not just about changing the name, but there must be a real transformation from a rural area to an urban one, in which the key is the change in the thinking and actions of each cadre, party member and resident. The locality’s goal is to build Viet Yen township into a happy destination, so in the coming time it will focus on building new urban areas with new styles, to best serve people and businesses and improve the happiness index.

To do this, Viet Yen will focus on improving urban quality in the spirit of Resolution No. 06 of the Politburo in the fields of urban planning, urban infrastructure, urban architecture, urban economy, urban civilization and urban living quality. It will continue to implement the policy of the provincial Party Committee’s Standing Board on developing a modern and smart urban area of Viet Yen imbued with identity. 

Along with developing modern infrastructure and building a smart apparatus and people, the township will clearly identify Viet Yen as an urban area with developed economy, civilized society, and transparent administration. It is set to build a unique cultural ecosystem, where people are happy in the spirit of security, welfare and safety under the policy of the provincial Party Committee.
