Further communication to effectively implement cooperation agreement for trade unionist welfare

(BGO) – The Labor Federation in the northern province of Bac Giang on November 5 held a conference about the welfare programme for trade unionist and reviewed 2 year implementation of cooperation agreement with the partners. 

Implementing the instruction of Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (VGCL) to develop the role to care for and protect the legal rights of the trade unionists and labors, the provincial Labor Federation (PLF) planned and actively realized the tasks.

Since 2017, the PLF has inked 16 cooperation agreements with the agencies and enterprises to organize several welfare activities for the unionists as well as actively implemented 19 deals of VGCL in the province.

As the result, 25,800 unionists, labors and 348 grass root trade unions have benefited from the cooperation agreement with total value of nearly 1.2 billion VND (51,800 USD). Besides, all partners accompany the trade union of all levels in social welfare activities.

To further implement the programme effectively, the representatives addressed some experiences and solutions such as trade union officers focus on popularizing the content of the cooperation agreement, enhancing the awareness so that the enterprises facilitate the partners to hold the communication events and draw the member’s participation; select the prestigious partner to ink the cooperation programme and supply the quality commodities and service to the labor.

Additionally, the trade union should implement the welfare activities via the electronic system to the enterprises and boarding houses to ease the trade unionist to access to the preferential policies.

On the occasion, the PLF inked 12 cooperation agreements in the period 2019 – 2023 (including 10 old and 2 new agreements).
