The 90 year old Nguyen Thi Moc, mother of martyr Nguyen Hong Van in Duc Thanh village, Tri Yen commune (Yen Dung district) spent 2 million VND (85 USD) from her allowances for relative of martyr’s family and elder person to support the local authority and the whole nation to prevent the acute respiratory disease.

Besides, the 83 year old Than Thi Hai Duong in My Cau village, Tan My commune (Bac Giang city) is healthy and clever. Every day she helps her offspring to do housework and grows vegetables for family use and sale. After listening to the local loudspeakers' communication about the donation, she donated 2 million VND from her savings to the provincial FFC to partly support the Covid-19 fight.

Meanwhile, though the 79 year old Nguyen Thi Nhuan in Dong Phu village, Xuan Phu commune (Yen Dung district) still lives in difficulties, she donated 1 million VND by selling vegetables everyday.

Sharing the spirit “All people join hands in Covid-19 prevention and control”, many enterprises, business persons in Bac Giang province or Bac Giang people in and outside the country have actively supported the local authority in the fight against the pandemic though they still encountered alot of challenges in production and business amid the complex situation.

Typically family of Chu Bao Que (Viet Yen district) donated 2,800 rain coats, 3,000 medical gloves, 200 demineralize water boxes, 20,000 face masks, 100 hand rubs worth nearly 500 million VND (21,300 USD); family of Nguyen The Cuong, Chairman of Thach Ban group donated 500 million VND; Tran Viet Tuan Phu in Huong Son (Lang Giang) presented 1.2 tonnes of vegetables worth nearly 20 million VND...

Not only the elderly, business persons but also many retired officers and public servants actively donated to the joint effort such as Do Thi Khuyen, Nguyen Thi Hong, Le Quoc Binh, Truong Quang Vinh and Tran Van Sinh with total donation of over 30 million VND.

Accompanying the pandemic combat of the local authority and people, the students and children in the province spent their little savings as the precious donation. They included brothers Le Nguyen Khoi in class 10A1, Ngo Si Lien High School and Le Dang Khoa in class 3A8, Ngo Si Lien Primary School (donated 10 million VND); Duong Hai Ninh in Ngo Si Lien Secondary School (donated over 2 million VND)....

To date, the FFC at all levels in Bac Giang province have received 37.2 billion VND (1.5 million USD), including 21.7 billion VND in cash. To acknowledge the kind heart from the collectives and individuals, the provincial People’s Committee granted Certificate of Merit to 5 organizations and 1 household while the provincial FFC sent the appreciation letter and praised nearly 180 organizations and individuals in and outside the province who greatly contributed to the pandemic combat.

For the golden heart and great unity in the Covid-19 fight, the provincial FFC Chairman Tran Cong Thang acknowledged that the meaningful and humane activities of the local citizens and Vietnamese expatriates have become great encouragement to the doctors, nurses, officers and soldiers who are directly serving the pandemic prevention and control as well as the isolated cases.

Besides, the great donation partly helps ease the difficulties for the poor, free labourers who lost their job due to the pandemic.

The FFC Chairman affirmed that the FFC at all levels will well supervise the implementation of support policy to help the needy cases amid the Covid-19 in line with the Government’ decision and resolution as well as the PPC’s Plan in the upcoming time.
