Several key construction projects

The project to expand and upgrade the road connecting Hiep Hoa district to Phu Binh district (Thai Nguyen province) valued at some 16 billion VND (696,000 USD) from the district’s budget was competed and brought into use in late December 2021. People in the communes of Dong Tan and Thanh Van are joyful to benefit a beautiful asphalt road which is twice larger than before. This road is 5 kilometre long including more than 1 kilometres in Kha Son and Ha Chau communes, Phu Binh district, Thai Nguyen province.

The land clearance involves hundreds households in the district and neighboring province. As this is an important single road for trade connection and boosting socio-economic development of both provinces, the district sent a working delegation to Thai Nguyen province to discuss and build the cooperation programme.

After 1 month, nearly 100 households in 2 communes of Kha Son and Ha Chau and 300 families in Dong Tan commune reached consensus to donate more than 1,200 square metres of residential, garden and cultivation land. The contractor immediately implemented building road right after receiving the ground.

Hoa Son primary school was inaugurated to put in use in September 2021, two months ahead the schedule. It is newly constructed school in an area of two ha with total cost of 42 billion VND (1.85 million USD) which ensures national standard design at level two with sufficient classroom area, functional room, playground, modern and synchronous studying tool and device.

Solidarity strength

In the roadmap to build new style rural district, Hiep Hoa worked out programme, plan and specific resolution in which the first target was to prioritize the sources for developing traffic infrastructure in the district, gradually complete and synchronize toward integrated traffic network and smooth trade exchange to localities in and outside the province.

Typically, the district concreted nearly 1,200km of rural road, accounting for over 80 percent (the average rate of the province is 77 percent) and representing 17.7 percent year on year increase.

Many key traffic projects met set schedule to accelerate the socio-economic growth, such as Dong Xuyen bridge to link Hiep Hoa district to Bac Ninh province; project to revamp and expand national road No.37; belt road No.1 in Thang town…

The cultural and social field has received due investment which resulted in several spacious and modern projects to highlight the district appearance. Besides the provincial budget, the district has had many projects built from socialization capital.

The statistic from the district Management Board for investment and construction project proved that Hiep Hoa district executed 106 projects in the period 2015 – 2020 with total investment of 890 billion VND. 2021 was the last year the district had exerted every effort toward the target of new style rural district so the district mobilized capitals of over one trillion VND to invest in 21 key projects, many of which exceeded the set progress from one to five months.

The traffic infrastructure, culture and education have gained dramatic changes, hence helping ease the travel demand of people, production development; enhance the cultural and spiritual life; maintain the educational quality of all grades; reinforce all fields in the top leading group in the province.

This year, the district will commence 17 new projects with total investment of 930 billion VND and forward 23 projects totally worth 788 billion VND.

Thanks to synchronous infrastructure development, in future, Hiep Hoa district continues to be attractive destination for investors, which creates premise to build the fourth class urban as the driving center in the West of Bac Giang province.

(BGO) – According to the Steering Board for Covid-19 Prevention and Control (Steering Board) in Hiep Hoa district (Bac Giang province), the district on May 1 localized, traced and applied home isolation to 5 households in the villages of San, Nguyen and Chau Lo in Mai Dinh commune after their close contact to Covid-19 suspected case.
