The road and bridge construction project linking Hiep Hoa district and Pho Yen town, Thai Nguyen province, section from the National Highway No 37 to Hoa Son bridge has total investment of some 543 billion VND (23.96 million USD) including more than 541 billion VND (23.87 million USD) from the central budget allocation and 2 million VND (0.09 million USD) from the provincial budget.

The People’s Committee of Hiep Hoa district approved the compensation for land clearance with total fund of nearly 60 billion VND (2.6 million USD) and paid some 47 billion VND (2.074 million USD) to the households. To date, 8.4 out of 10 kilometres of land have been handed over by the district; however, some sections still face obstacles.

The project embellishing and upgrading Dai La sewer and Ta Cau dyke in Mai Trung and Hop Thinh communes is funded nearly 47 billion VND (2.074 million USD) including more than 46 billion VND (2.03 million USD) from the central budget allocation and 0.5 billion VND (22,064 USD) from the provincial budget. Value of the implemented quantities is estimated at some 10 million VND (441,280 USD). The slow construction progress is due to delayed land hand over.

At his inspection, the PPC Chairman Le Anh Duong ordered Hiep hoa district to pay high attention to land clearance of the households with residential land area especially at the connections on the provincial roads 295 and 296. The district should strive to hand over ground to the contractors by November 25.

He stressed, this time the dry weather is favourable for construction, thus the district, communes and towns need to pay attention to propaganda, mobilizing for people’s consensus and speeding up land clearance. The contractors should reinforce resources to kick off construction.

Regarding the construction site of the bridge across Cau river from Hoa Son commune to Thai Nguyen province, which is a single road relating to the dyke system while the construction vehicles and machines have heavy loads, PPC Chairman Le Anh Duong requested the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development and Department of Transportation to collaborate with the contractors to facilitate transportation of equipment to the construction area.

The PPC Chairman urged the provincial Management Board of Investment and Construction of Traffic and Agricultural Projects to appoint employees as contact persons with Thai Nguyen province to timely grasp situation and report the provincial leaders for surmounting difficulties.

Regarding the project embellishing and upgrading Dai La sewer, Hiep Hoa district and the communes were urged to pay attention to land clearance at the sites facing obstacles, complete in next 5 days (from November 9) and hand over to the contractors.

The contractors need to accelerate the progress while ensuring safety and strictly implementing preventive measures against Covid-19 pandemic. The employees and workers should be regularly tested and follow 5K principle during construction process.
