Huong Pagoda National Relic Site to be restored

Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha has signed a Decision approving the task of formulating a plan to preserve and restore Huong Son Complex National Relic Site, also known as Huong (Perfume) Pagoda , in My Duc District of Hanoi.

Under the approval, the scope for planning covers the entire natural space and area in Huong Son, An Tien, An Phu and Hung Tien Communes, My Duc District.

The scope of planning has a total area of 4,960.06 hectares, including the protected area I of 2,759.32 hectares, the protected area II of 1,198.81 hectares and the area which is expected to expand the vicinity, to promote its value at 981.93 hectares.

The planning aims to preserve and promote the values of Huong Pagoda National Historical and Landscape Relic Site, which have special values on culture, belief, architecture, arts and biodiversity.

The planning will also serve as a legal basis for the formulation, appraisal, approval and management of component projects, on the preservation, restoration and promotion of the relic site’s values and as a scientific basis for preserving and promoting Huong Pagoda National Relic Site, in association with tourism development and socio-economic development of the locality.

The planning will not exceed 24 months from April 13, 2023.

The planning will be approved by the Prime Minister. The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism is the agency in charge of appraising and submitting the planning for approval. The planning manager is the Hanoi People's Committee. My Duc District People's Committee is the investor.
