According to the General Department of Vietnam Customs, the smuggling of goods across the borders tended to decrease in the reviewed period. However, drugs trafficking still occurred on air routes and on borderlines of Lao Cai and Quang Tri provinces.

State budget collection from import-export activities reached US$12.53 billion.

The custom force detected 3,129 violation cases from June 16 to September 15, seizing goods of VND304.36 billion and contributing VND48.49 billion to the State budget.

It initiated legal proceedings against 10 cases and suggested relevant agencies launch criminal proceedings against 26 other cases.

Export turnover up 31.2 percent year on year in seven months

(BGO) – The export turnover in Bac Giang province was estimated at 885 million USD in July, up 79.8 percent against previous month and over 7.2 billion USD in accumulation of 7 months, up 31.2 percent year on year, reported the provincial Department of Industry and Trade.

Export turnover up 31 percent in August

(BGO) – According to the Department of Industry and Trade in Bac Giang province, the local export turnover hit about 1,227 million USD in August, up 29.9 percent comparing to the last month figure and 8,540 million USD in 8 months, making up 31 percent year on year increase.

Rice export turnover up 10% in 2020

Vietnam earned over US$3 billion from exporting rice in 2020, according to the Vietnam Food Association (VFA), a year-on-year increase of more than 10%.
