Many activities to celebrate International Women’s Day
Accordingly, PWU will organize groups to present gifts to the kindergartens of Lien Chung in Tan Yen district, Cam Dan in Son Dong district, Phuong Son in Luc Ngan district, Mai Dinh in Hiep Hoa district and Tan Tien in Bac Giang city from 3 to 8 March. The gift packages include soap, handkerchief, facemask and handrup. The fund has been mobilised from enterprises, donors and women’s unionists in the province.

Implementing direction of PWU, women’s organizations will limit crowd activities, proactively mobilize resources to buy materials and facilities such as facemask, handrup and soap to support the schools and households, clean up environment, deliver communication leaflets on epidemic prevention and control.
The women’s unions at all levels have gained some 75,000 face masks, 7,000 bottles of handrup and saline solution and more than 1,000 soaps since 15 February.
In response to the Ao Dai Week themed “Ao Dai- Vietnamese Cultural Heritage”, more than 2,500 members from the women’s unions in 209 communes, wards and towns and 12 districts, city and units, female members of the Trade Union of public officials and Trade Union of Education sector will wear Ao Dai on 6 March.
Besides, agencies, organizations and enterprises encourage all female officers, staff, members, public servants, laborers and high school students to wear traditional Ao Dai.
This activity is within the Ao Dai Week launched by Vietnam Women’s Union and provincial Women’s Union from March 2 to 8.
In addition, the history of Vietnam’s Ao Dai has been widespread on social network. The PWU and women’s unions of Luc Nam, Hiep Hoa, Lang Giang and Yen The districts and Bac Giang city carried out a number of activities like “Ao Dai Beauty Contest” to choose the most beautiful women in Ao Dai to honor the beauty and value of Ao Dai in society while inspiring pride and responsibility to preserve and promote Vietnamese cultural identity.
