Positive changes

With the attention and instruction of the municipal Party Committee and authorities, the active implementation of departments, agencies, sectors, Fatherland Front committees and socio-political organizations from the city level to the ward and commune level, as well as the response of people, the implementation of Programme No. 02 of the municipal Party Committee has achieved outstanding results.

All missions and targets of the programme have been fulfilled. Perception and awareness of observing regulations on the cultural and civilized lifestyle of each official, Party member and citizen in the city have changed positively through behaviors among people and between people and the environment and community.

The cultural and civilized lifestyle in public places is responded by the people of the city and is spreading widely. The fine traditions of the family and lineage have been preserved and promoted. In five years, the average rate of cultural families has reached 92.8 percent. The whole city has 1,545 typical cultural families praised and rewarded by agencies at all levels.

The communication and education on cultural lifestyle inside and outside the school together with the organization of activities and emulation movements have contributed to raising the sense of responsibility, professional conscience and ethics of teachers. The comprehensive education about knowledge, ethics, and cultural lifestyle helps students respect, preserve and promote traditional cultural values and live responsibly for themselves, their families and the society.

The movement of building cultural lifestyle in office has seen positive changes in both awareness and action. The city’s officials, civil servants, public employees and workers have been more deeply aware of their responsibilities for work, communication with, and behavior toward colleagues and people.

The awareness of observing regulations on implementing the cultural and civilized lifestyle in weddings and funerals, and organizing festivals has seen progresses. The state management of culture has been strengthened. The system of cultural and sports institutions has been built to meet the needs of cultural and spiritual activities of the people in the area.

Spreading outstanding models

To promote the achieved results and promptly fix limitations and shortcomings in the process of implementing Programme No. 02, in the coming time, the municipal Party Committee and the municipal People's Committee will request localities, agencies, and units to perform well some key tasks.

First of all, the city will continue to focus on leading and directing the fulfillment of the set objectives and tasks, promoting communication on implementation of the cultural and civilized lifestyle in urban areas, creating drastic changes in perception and action of each official, Party member and citizen on building the cultural and civilized lifestyle in urban areas.

The city will closely link the implementation of Programme No. 02 of the municipal Party Committee with the realization of the Party Central Committee’s directives and resolutions on building and developing Vietnamese culture and people; build and reorganize the Party, prevent and drive back the degradation in political thought, morality and lifestyle; promote the studying and following of President Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style.

The city will promote the movement "All people unite to build cultural life"; strictly implement the office culture regulations in association with realising the slogan of action "More professional, more friendly and more effective" in the contingent of cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers from the city level to grassroots level.

Bac Giang city will invest in building and upgrading cultural institutions in the locality; strengthen the state management of culture; promptly encourage, commend and multiply typical and effective models on building the cultural and civilized lifestyle in urban areas; and criticize and strictly handle violations.
