Nearly 1,700 laborers register to work in Korea

Currently, nearly 1,700 candidates with qualified background, health and immigration conditions have submitted applications, doubling last year figure. The manufacturing industry attracts the most number of labor (1,323 people) followed by agriculture and construction.
These workers will take the Korean language proficiency test, have their skills and capacity examined in the first round at the end of March and April and second round in June and July.
The selection results will be announced at the end of July this year. Workers who pass two rounds of testing are introduced to RoK employers for selecting and signing a working contract.
This year's EPS exam is expected to recruit more than 15,400 workers nationwide to work in many fields in RoK, including more than 11,200 people in manufacturing, about 3,000 people in fishery, nearly 900 people in agriculture, and the rest in construction.
Currently, Bac Giang province has about 1,800 workers working in RoK with an average income of 25-30 million VND (1,068 – 1,280 USD) per person per month.
