Putting two projects into use facilitates local people, opens up new space and development opportunities for the locality.
Connecting two banks of Luc Nam river
It is the peak harvest season of oranges and pomelos in Luc Ngan district these days, so many vehicles are busy carrying goods to different places. Local people are excited because the products are priced well.

Particularly, the farmers in Phuong Son and My An communes are happiest when there is a new bridge connecting the two banks of Luc Nam river.
The Project 1 was approved by the PPC in February 2021 and adjusted in June 2023. The total length of the bridge over Luc Nam river and the path is 248.3m. In particular, the bridge length is more than 228 m and built in line with third grade plain road standard, including 2 lanes for motor vehicles and 1 lane for rudimentary vehicles.
The total investment of the project hit nearly 1 trillion VND (43 million USD), of which the bridge over Luc Nam river has a construction value of nearly 83 billion VND from the State budget.
The construction of the bridge over the Luc Nam River was started on September 30, 2022 with the Provincial Management Board of Transport and Agricultural Construction Investment Project as the investor and Tan Thinh Construction Company Limited as the construction contractor.
After over one year of active construction, up to now, the bridge over Luc Nam River has been completed and put into use three months ahead of the schedule, ensuring technical and aesthetic standards.
The completion of the bridge over Luc Nam River helps ease local commuters in Phuong Son and My An communes (Luc Ngan district) and others, avoid the potential risk of traffic unsafety when crossing the river by boat.
It also links to the road connecting My An port - National Highway 31 - National Highway 1 and the Suoi Nua - Khuon Than lake branch route in Luc Nam and Luc Ngan districts while promoting the development of concentrated industrial parks, commercial, tourist, service areas among others.
Particularly, Luc Ngan and Luc Nam lychees can be transported to Friendship border gate in an open manner and shortened time.
Effective and long lasting operation
Together with the bridge over Luc Nam river, the Project 2 started on August 30, 2022 with a total length of more than 16 km. The route is built in line with fourth grade plain road standard.

Total investment is nearly 370 billion VND from the State budget. After more than a year of construction, the project has now been completed and put into use on schedule.
It is a key project of the province which received due attention from the provincial leaders and regular inspection. During construction, the contractors encountered a lot of difficulties because it was the only one route in rough localtion. The site work was done complicatedly.
At a project site inspection, the PPC Chairman Le Anh Duong directed the Son Dong District People's Committee to organize a 30 day and night campaign to determine to completely resolve the problems in site clearance so as to early handover the site to the investor and construction contractor.
The upgradation of provincial road 291 has contributed to improving the exploitation capacity of the current route, ensuring synchronization with neighboring sections which were invested. At the same time, it helps enhance connectivity between tourist areas and socio-economic centers inside and outside the province, especially Tay Yen Tu spiritual-ecological tourist area...
Newly operated road and bridge has important meaning, helping bring great joy to the local, open up new space and opportunity for development.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, PPC Vice Chairman Phan The Tuan praised the investor and contractors for focusing on removing difficulties, speeding up construction progress and putting the projects into use early and on schedule with satisfied quality, technique and art requirement.
The provincial leader emphasized that the province is determined to focus highly on synchronous development of transport and urban infrastructure. Prioritize investment in building transport infrastructure to go one step ahead to create favorable conditions for the development of other fields with many key transport projects, promoting regional connectivity, including the two projects above. These projects are crucial to the socio-economic development of Luc Ngan, Luc Nam and Son Dong in particular and Bac Giang province in general.
