Though Nguyen Duc Viet had a good examination, he was so surprised when his teacher informed that Viet got the highest English score in the recent provincial contest for the excellent student because the event attracted many outstanding names from different schools.

Nguyen Duc Viet shares the method of English study with his friend.

The boy has a special passion for the subject since he studied in the third grade. He often reads the short stories, watches cartoons in English. Typically, Viet surprised his teachers with his silver medal at the national Internet Olympiads of English (IOE) at the fifth grade. Later on, he won the first, second prizes in English at the district contest for excellent students for several consecutive years.

Apart from class studying, he usually watches the English talk show on Youtube to learn the skills of listening, speaking, pronouncing or singing then remembering the vocabularies that help him build up a diverse source of English words with correct grammar.

Viet is not hesitated of speaking in English to confidently introduce about the hometown Viet Yen whenever he meets foreign visitors or friends. Once, he played the role of “a tour guide” to a delegation of American and England tourists to brief them on the land history, Quan ho melodies, Tho Ha rice cracker and noodle when Viet and members of Bagico Viet Yen Club joined Bo Da pagoda.

Particularly, he feels so lucky and grateful to teachers Doan Thi Quynh Xuan and Le Thi Khanh Van who devotedly teach him in Than Nhan Trung Secondary School.

Viet loves not only English but also Literature; thus inspiring him to be an MC for the extracurricular and English exchange activities at the school. He said the time on IC Bagico Living Skill Club helped him practice the abilities of presentation, the group working with actual experience.

Teacher Doan Thi Quynh Xuan said: “Viet is a smart and industrious student with a specific goal. He is always active in searching for teacher’s advice on hard exercises to perfect the skill of English listening, speaking, reading and writing”.

With the recently achieved result, Nguyen Duc Viet will be proceeded to Bac Giang High School for Gifted Students in the academic year 2019 – 2020.

English competition among high-quality junior high schools in Bac Giang

(BGO) - An English exchange program took place at Le Quy Don junior high school in Bac Giang city on 22 March among the key and high-quality junior high schools of Voi town in Lang Giang district, Doi Ngo town in Luc Nam district, Neo town in Yen Dung district, Than Nhan Trung in Viet Yen district and Le Quy Don junior high school.

 

Over 20 billion VND invested in equipment and classroom for English study

(BGO) – Implementing the Project to renovate English teaching and studying in high schools in the period of 2016 – 2020, the People’s Committee in Bac Giang city has to date invested over 20 billion VND (over 862,000 USD) in purchasing the equipment for normal and special English learning classrooms.

A teacher of many excellent students at English

(BGO) - Teacher Pham Thi Van Nga (born in 1984) was assigned to teach at Tan Son High school, Luc Ngan district after graduating from the Faculty of English, Ngo Gia Tu College in the northern province of Bac Giang. In 2009, she taught English for Bo Ha Junior High School in Yen The district. Teacher Nga has demonstrated her teaching quality for both normal students and excellent students of grade 8 and 9.
