Marathon content is not her forte. She is a professional runner in middle race. Therefore, when reaching the finish line at the above mentioned time, Oanh was overwhelmed for surpassing herself to finish 4 minutes faster than her previous personal record.

Nguyen Thi Oanh finishes first in the Marathon distance at Ho Chi Minh City International Marathon 2023.

Nguyen Thi Oanh is one of the outstanding athletes of Vietnamese sports in 2023. She has excellently won many achievements at international tournaments, outstandingly at SEA Games 32.

With such achievements, she has been honored with many awards such as the Second Class Labor Medal, one of 75 persons to receive Certificate of Merit for the national typical advanced models , the Vietnamese Women's Award in 2022 and 2023.

She was also chosen as the ambassador of the Ho Chi Minh City International Marathon in 2023. Chi Minh Techcombank 2023. This is the 6th event of its kind as the largest international marathon in Vietnam.

Nguyen Thi Oanh wins miracle double gold in 30 minutes

Despite facing an arduous challenge due to schedule change, Nguyen Thi Oanh did a miracle run to win goal medals in the 1,500 m run and 3,000 m hurdles in just 30 minutes. Oanh is currently the best middle-distance runner in Southeast Asia. She attended the first SEA Games in 2013 and won a silver medal in the 3,000 m hurdles. She has dominated this event for the last three SEA Games editions.
