Nguyen Tien Linh wins Vietnam’s Golden Ball Award
Becamex Binh Duong’s striker Nguyen Tien Linh won the men’s Golden Ball Award 2024 at a ceremony held by the Vietnam Football Federation in Ho Chi Minh City on February 26.
This is the first time that Linh has received this prestigious accolade in Vietnamese football. Previously, he won the Bronze Ball in 2021 and the Silver Ball in 2022.

In this category, midfielder Nguyen Hoang Duc (The Cong - Viettel/Phu Dong Ninh Binh) won the Silver Ball, while striker Pham Tuan Hai (Hanoi FC) received the Bronze Ball.
In the women's award category, Tran Thi Thuy Trang (Ho Chi Minh City 1) won the Golden Ball.
Nguyen Thi Tuyet Ngan (Ho Chi Minh City 1) received the Silver Ball while Duong Thi Van (TKV) got the Bronze Ball.
In the outstanding foreign player category, striker Nguyen Xuan Son (Thep Xanh Nam Dinh) was honoured for his important contributions at both the club and national team levels.

Nguyen Xuan Son, whose original Brazilian name is Rafaelson Bezerra Fernandes, was born in 1997 and became a naturalised Vietnamese citizen in September 2024.
In the futsal category, the Golden Ball was awarded to Nguyen Thinh Phat (Thai Son Nam).
The Silver Ball went to Nguyen Manh Dung (Thai Son Nam) while Pham Van Tu (Thai Son Bac) received the Bronze Ball.
Meanwhile, in other awards, Bui Vi Hao (Becamex Binh Duong) was honoured as the outstanding young male player, while Vu Thi Hoa from Phong Phu Ha Nam received the equivalent honour in the female category.
