The week-long fair brings together around 200 businesses, collectives, supermarkets and traders in the city, offering a good price to customers on a wide range of products.

Tet gifts presented to trade union members and workers in Da Nang city at the gathering on January 16.

At the event, the organizing board presented 3,000 gifts to trade union members and workers, worth VND1.5 billion in total.

The city’s trade federation also sponsored 40 free coaches to bring nearly 2,000 migrant workers back to their hometowns to celebrate Tet holiday with their families.

The Dak Lak provincial Department of Labour, War Invalids and Social Affairs announced that it will spend more than VND40 billion on Tet gifts to outstanding collectives and individuals in the locality.

The recipients include Vietnamese heroic mothers, war veterans, Heroes of Armed Forces, wounded soldiers, family members of soldiers who are stationed in Truong Sa (Spratly) archipelago, and outstanding heads of villages.

As Tet is getting nearer, Thai Nguyen provincial authorities visited and presented more than 250 gifts to poor households and policy beneficiary families in Phu Dinh commune, Dinh Hoa district.

Over the past week, the province’s health sector has provided free health check-ups and medicine to 400 locals in the commune.

Two enterprises present 800 Tet gifts to disadvantaged households and AO victims

(BGO) – Responding to the campaign of “Tet for the Poor and Agent Orange Victims (AO Victims)” in 2019 launched by the Red Cross Society (RCS) in the northern province of Bac Giang, Vinahan Joint Stock Company in Song Mai commune (Bac Giang city) and Habac Nitrogenous Fertilizer& Chemicals Joint Stock Company mobilized the expenses to present 500 gift packages (each worth 400,000 VND) and 300 gift sets (each valued at 500,000 VND) respectively. 

 

Embassy hosts Tet event for Vietnamese community in Argentina

The Vietnamese Embassy in Buenos Aires held a gathering on January 12 for the local Vietnamese community to celebrate the traditional Lunar New Year (Tet), the most important festival in a year for Vietnamese.
