For nearly two months, the early education center for autism children where Nguyen Thi Anh (born in 1993) in Bac Ly commune (Hiep Hoa district) works has suspended the operation. She must stay at home and encounter alot of difficulties like many teachers at other private educational facilities.

In free time, Dinh Thuy Thuy in Hoang Van Thu ward (Bac Giang city) arranges ao dai to deliver to customers.

Thus, Anh learnt to do online business to meet the demand of many customers and earn more income. In late February, Anh posted the information and image of several dress, clothes for young people on social network such as individual facebook and zalo.

It seemed so hard for the new comer, so Anh spent time on learning the experiences from others. For example, she takes the break time at noon and evening to create new post for the customers.

In stead of buying a lot of commodities at the same time, Anh searches for customers’ demand via social network then makes a list to order. Currently, she receives from 8 to 10 orders per day, sometime 15 orders from many customers.

Though Nguyen Thi Hau (born in 1990) newly opened the store to sell safe farm produce in Binh Minh street, Doi Ngo town (Luc Nam district) in February 2020, she encourages the customers to make online order to prevent Covid-19.

Hau uses some software to monitor the sale revenue to ease the commodity arrangement and make order for customer. She employs 6 staff to work on shift, two of whom are in charge of shipping the goods to customers’ address. Seizing the trend, her store attracts more and more users in the pandemic period.

Covid-19 has much affected the shopping habit because most of the customers now avoid the crowded place, restrict to visit supermarket and shopping center, hence the online service is more and more developed.

According to Nghiem Xuan Tranh, Chairman of the provincial Association of Young Businessmen, it is hard for new comer to make both online and traditional business startup. Now, online business has advantage of free range location and ability to access to wide customers using Internet.

To gain effectiveness, the startup person should apply modern technology, use laptop, Ipad and smart telephone. Online business helps reduce several cost such as office leasing or risk of stocking commodities in bulk.

Dinh Thi Thu Thuy in Hoang Van Thu ward (Bac Giang province) also uses her free time to sell ao dai (Vietnamese traditional long dress) on social network. She takes the family space as the store to circulate the commodities.

Thuy succeeds to sell from 10 to 20 orders of dozens of sets of ao dai, each worth 200,000 – 400,000 VND (8.49 – 17 USD) per week. She has a lot of favourite customers thanks to her luring policies of cash on delivery, shipping commodity to the preferred address, put it on, exchange to new one or make adjustment if needed.

To succeed in online startup and business, experts recommend young entrepreneurs to do business by their heart and ensure quality products. Additionally, they should arrange the work orderly, apply modern software to reduce the transaction time and arrange the commodities.

The start up people should link to shipping agent, use bank account to transfer and receive payment online in stead of direct transaction to restrict the contact time, helping prevent and fight against Covid-19.
