The annual award has been implemented by the Central Committee of Vietnam Youth Federation and the VYEA since 2015, being granted to Vietnamese citizens under 35 years of age who have gained outstanding results in managing and operating enterprises as well as actively participating in social activities and community development. Over the last five years, the award has honoured 390 young entrepreneurs.
From such success, in 2016, the VYEA established its Investment and Startup Club with the core members being winners of the award. Up to now, many local clubs have been established in ten provinces and cities across the country, with more than 2,000 members, to support startup ideas by many young entrepreneurs.
This year’s award was launched in September. After three rounds of voting, the organisers selected the nine best candidates to present with the award. In 2018, these young entrepreneurs' businesses generated revenue of about VND1.6 trillion, contributing VND76 billion to the State budget and creating jobs for more than 15,000 employees.
