Only by visiting this land on fruit harvest season, we can see the correctness from the introduction of the district leader. From Phuong Son to Quy Son, Tru Huu, Thanh Hai, Tan Quang, Tan Moc communes..., every household competes to take care for their orange and pomelo orchards with safety standard.

Typically, the sweet pomelo orchard of Vu Thi Phuong in Tan Truong village, Thanh Hai commune has 600 trees. Offering the sweet fruit to the visitors, Phuong shared this season her family expects to harvest more than 50,000 fruits with revenue of 1 billion VND (43,100 USD).
Similarly, family of Thang Van Nam in Tan Tien village, Tan Quang commune has a fine orchard of pomelo and orange. Happily he shared that the more than 10 year old sweet pomelo tree with over 300 fruits which is the best in his orchard is selected by Tan Quang commune to compete for the Best tree award at this year fruit fair. Only this tree brought him nearly 9 million VND (388 USD) for selling fruits.

According to Luc Ngan district, this is the first year the district has selected 25 outstanding orchards in 6 communes of Nam Duong, Tan Quang, Tan Moc, Quy Son, Thanh Hai and Hong Giang to build tours in close connection to the local landscapes, relic sites and traditional craft villages to welcome visitors.
These orchards follow VietGAP production procedure to introduce good trees and eye catching fruits which are delicious with food safety and hygiene standard. Dozens of delegations have visited the orchards to gain good impression.
Targeting to sustainable key sweet fruit area
This year is the first time Luc Ngan district has ever held the competition for good sweet orange, yellow flesh orange, sweet pomelo trees and orchards within the framework of fruit fair. Several criteria are set such as good development, green leaves, uniform canopy and fruits, laden fruits with good appearance...

The district leader La Van Nam also informed that to implement the Central and provincial guidance of restructuring the agriculture sector, the local authority instructed to develop the fruit trees toward diverse trend with improved quality quantity and value so as to gradually bring Luc Ngan district become key fruit growing area of the country.
To have high quality orange and pomelo orchards that bring high economic value and attract a lot of visitors, for years, the district authority has urged the competent agencies to coordinated with the sectors to gradually plan the growing area, improve the seedling quality and caring technique, especially applying the advanced science and technology into intensive cultivation as well as ensuring the food safety and hygiene standard.
The localities should integrate the sources of capital and support of dozens of billion VND to realize the VietGAP cultivation models using drip dropping system, pilot new varieties, build trademark and promote the products...
“The opening of the quality competition for good fruit, tree and orchard aims to launch the movement of clean production to increase the value of citrus fruit trees and attract visitors to bring sustainable income for the farmers,” Nam said.
