Over 98.5 percent of enterprises pay tax via bank system

(BGO) – According to Bac Giang provincial Taxation Department, the province has 6,145 operating enterprises, 6,054 of which completed the linkage of electronic tax payment between taxation sector and commercial banks, accounting for over 98.5 percent, up nearly 200 businesses comparing to the figure at the end stage of last year.

The electronic tax declaration and payment help them shorten the time to implement the duty obligation to the government. With electronic equipment and Internet link, the tax payer can access to the portal of the General Department of Taxation to conduct the duty obligation. Besides, the businesses are able to manage the paid tax amounts and the balance timely.

The result was gained thanks to the efforts made by the provincial Department of Taxation to focus on persuading and instructing the businesses to apply the electronic tax payment software.

According to the statistic, the state budget collection has hit over 5.1 trillion VND (219.9 million USD) since early this year while striving to collect over 10 trillion VND (431.2 million USD) till the end of this year.

RoK to offer 5% preferential import tax on over 55,000 tonnes of Vietnamese rice

WB, Japan help Vietnam improve taxation management
The World Bank (WB) and the State Bank of Vietnam on August 2 signed an agreement worth 4.2 million USD in non-refundable aid provided by the Japanese government to launch a taxation system modernisation project in Vietnam.
