Bac Giang supports electronic tax balance
Previously, at the beginning of the year, especially in March, the corporate income tax balance hit its peak. A large number of businesses gathered at the provincial Tax Department and its branches to complete tax procedures, causing congestion, overload, and low work efficiency.

Since the beginning of 2019, the province's tax sector has implemented electronic tax payment services, helping to improve the efficiency of tax payment and management in the province.
Dong Thi Hien, Chief Accountant of Vu Thinh Co., Ltd. (Lang Giang district), said: “The unit has just paid the 2019 corporate income tax of nearly 1 billion VND through the electronic service system. With this method, I only sit in the office of the company and pay taxes, do not take much time waiting as before. The software’s advantage is that we only need to register on the same system rather than on many websites so it is very convenient ”.
Like Vu Thinh Co. Ltd, a representative of Uyen Cuong Trading Co., Ltd based in Noi Hoang commune (Yen Dung district), said that the company specializes in trading household goods and essential food products. On average each year it pays 300-350 million VND (12,900 - 15,000 USD) of corporate income tax.
Previously, when going to pay corporate income tax, the company's accountant had to wait all day and even came to the tax agency several times to complete the procedures. Since the application of electronic tax payment software, the accountant has saved a lot of time, with procedures done quickly and easily.
Currently, the province has more than 7,000 businesses, of which more than 5,400 are subject to tax payment with a total estimated corporate income tax of 600 billion VND (25.8 million USD). Corporate income tax is one of the important revenue sources for the total budget revenue. As the tax is only paid in a certain period of time, this causes pressure on tax officials as well as taxpayers.
Therefore, right from the beginning of March, the peak time for tax balance, the provincial Tax Department has instructed its regional branches to support businesses in using the eTax service.
This is a centralized one-stop-shop system with many new features for online tax payment. Using this method, taxpayers only need to use one login account to access all the specific tax records management services of businesses.
In addition to the advantage of helping businesses pay taxes as prescribed, this software also helps the tax sector with effective management. In order to help businesses master the utilities from the eTax service, the provincial Tax Department assigns professional staff to regularly provide consultations for taxpayers by phone and email.
By the positive support measures of the tax sector, right in 2019, all businesses in the province registered to use electronic invoices. By this time, about 20 percent of businesses in the province have made corporate income tax balance sheets online. |
At the same time, they notify businesses of the content and time of tax payment on the websites of the Tax Department as well as send SMS and emails informing tax rates to each enterprise.

In fact, the electronic tax balance also helps the provincial Tax Department and its regional branches communicate with each other smoothly and regularly update records and news on the same system. Enterprises can know the deadline and detailed information about the amount of money to be paid as well as see their taxes and debts most accurately. This system also helps to track and strictly control members' responsibilities in taking steps related to tax payment.
In addition, amid the complicated development of the COVID-19 epidemic, online tax payment is an appropriate policy that helps to limit direct contact and gatherings, thus reducing the risk of disease spreading and accelerating the progress of fulfilling tax obligations of enterprises.
