Politburo works with Standing Committee of the Police Party Central Committee

The Politburo held a working session with the Standing Committee of the Police Party Central Committee (PPCC) in Hanoi on September 21, under the chair of Party General Secretary and President Nguyen Phu Trong.

The session was also attended by Politburo members: Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc, Chairwoman of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan and representatives from advisory commissions of the Party Central Committee.

At the session, the Politburo gave opinions on draft documents and personnel plans to submit to the 7th Congress of the Police Party Central Committee, 2020-2025 tenure.

Speaking at the session, Party General Secretary and President Nguyen Phu Trong lauded the PPCC for its thorough preparation for the congress as well as its serious implementation of Directive 35 from the Politburo on the organisation of Party congresses at all levels towards the 13th National Party Congress.

The Party leader also acknowledged efforts made by the PPCC in completing objectives and tasks set out by the 6th Congress, contributing to the successful implementation of the Resolutions of the 12th National Party Congress.

The Party General Secretary and President spoke highly of the police force for recording significant achievements recently, saying that their success in performing their tasks has made an important contribution to maintaining national security and creating positive changes in social order and safety and maintaining political stability, while creating a stable, secure, safe and healthy environment for socio-economic development and the country's expansion of external relations.

The force was also asked to focus on building up a strong People’s Police force to serve the nation’s socio-economic development, and to continue working closely with the military, ministries, other sectors and localities to fulfil the tasks of protecting the nation while maintaining social order and safety.
