Provincial leader Duong Van Thai urges to timely remedy shortcomings, ensure architecture planning and management quality
According to the report, the Department of Construction has fulfilled their state management tasks and duties in construction, thereby contributing to positive changes of the urban and rural appearance. The urban space has been expanded with rapid increase of urban population, from 14.7 percent in 2019 to 21.7 percent in late 2020.

At the discussion session, the participants identified some shortcomings to be remedied. According to Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Le O Pich, there remains slow progress in planning making, appraising and managing while quality of some schemes is still low. Particularly, detailed planning is fragmented and overlapped with planning of other sectors.
Speaking at the meeting, PPC Secretary, Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Duong Van Thai appreciated the efforts and results of the Construction Department. He urged the Department to promptly grasp the opinions and remedy the shortcomings right after the meeting, in which they need to focus on improving quality of planning and architecture management to create highlights and unique features of Bac Giang in architecture and construction especially in urban areas.
Besides, they need to regularly supervise the construction planning and investment projects for management of construction and architecture planning in the locality meeting requirements for socio-economic development and investment attraction.

The Department was urged to actively advise the provincial leaders the issues in their authority, closely collaborate with related departments, agencies and localities to deal with arising problems in carrying out state management of planning and construction.
In addition, it is necessary to strengthen planning information transparency, regularly review to eliminate inappropriate administrative procedures in construction investment and facilitate initiative of the localities, organizations, enterprises and individuals.
In line with the above tasks, the PPC Secretary requested the Department’s leaders to reinforce training to improve quality of the staff in implementing their tasks and duties and obeying code of conduct for public officials while encouraging creative thinking and competence of the officials and employees in carrying out tasks and duties.
