Construction of Ben Mong bridge started in Luc Son commune, Luc Nam district
Ben Mong bridge will be built over the sub flow of Luc Nam river passing Luc Son commune to link Tho Son village to Choi 1 and 2 villages. Its total cost is nearly 2 billion VND (nearly 85,000 USD) including about 1.6 billion VND sponsored by the Embassy of Japan in Vietnam and over 309 million VND invested by Luc Nam district People’s Committee.

It is designed as one span bridge with the length of 6m and width of 4.5m and constructed by 559 Construction and Trading Joint Stock Company. As schedule, the bridge is completed in March 2021.
Previously, the provincial Youth Union coordinated with the local authority in Luc Nam district to survey, prepare document, propose the project then receive the approval for a nonrefundable aid from the Embassy of Japan in Vietnam in September 2019.

Luc Son commune is a special difficult commune in Bac Giang province with 1,900 households and 8,200 residents of 11 ethnic peoples like Dao, Tay, Nung, Kinh... They mostly live on farming and forestry, thus the life is so hard. The old bridge is severely degraded. In the rain season, the local people encounter a lot of difficulties in travel.

Ben Mong bridge helps link the traffic among Tho Son, Choi 1 and 2 villages in Luc Son commune; connect Luc Son commune with Truong Son commune, Dong Dinh market with Mai Suu market to ease the travel demand of the local residents, reduce the risk of drowning accident and accelerate the socio-economic development and poverty reduction.
