It is among the social responsible activities of Samsung Vietnam to pay tribute to the local residents and community in Vietnam. Launched in Bac Ninh province since 2010, the practical and humanity action has been implemented in Thai Nguyen since 2014 and Bac Giang province since 2019.

Addressing the ceremony, Ryu Kilsang, Director of Communication and Foreign Affairs of Samsung Vietnam said: “During 10 years when presenting the wheelchairs, we always hope to share a part of the life difficulties to the disabled people and encourage them to find more belief and fortitude to conquer the challenges”.

Speaking at the event, DoFA’s Director Nguyen Hoang Trung expressed his sincere thanks to Samsung Vietnam for presenting 100 wheelchairs to the people with disabilities in Bac Giang province. He hoped that Samsung Vietnam with the role of a giant enterprise in electronic and communication will not only greatly contribute to the provincial socio-economic growth but also actively join the social welfare activities, especially paying due attention to children, disabled people and policy families in the province.

On behalf of the provincial People’s Committee, DoFA took the occasion to hand over the Certificate of Sponsorship to Samsung Vietnam.

Samsung Vietnam has supported a huge source of expense to conduct the social responsible projects in Bac Giang province such as presenting the smart library to Luc Ngan No 2 High School (in 2013), building latrine and water filter system worth over 7 billion VND (301,700 USD) to 26 schools in the province that benefit 224,649 students, presenting 400 scholarships to poor students with good academic result in 2017 and 2018.

In the upcoming time, Samsung Vietnam plans to coordinate with KFHI organization to support Bac Giang province to execute the project “Samsung Hope School” with total sponsored amount of some 20 billion VND (ove 862,000 USD). These are practical deed to social welfare in Bac Giang province.
