Tan Dat Trade, Import and Export Company Limited in Dinh Ke industrial cluster (Bac Giang city) operating in fertilizer production and trade. In order to increase the capacity, the company planned the project to expand the factory, which was approved by the provincial People’s Committee but the company must negotiate with the locals about land clearance.

Some households have not accepted although the compensation proposed by the company is higher than the regulated prices. According to the company leader, there is part of agricultural land inside the factory area causing obstacles in management and production of the company.

Nguyen Van Tuyen, Director of 379 Joint Stock Company said, most of the projects implemented by the company face difficulties in land clearance and must be extended. However, the company highly evaluated the engagement of Bac Giang city. The city’s leaders have paid due attention to organizing dialogues with the locals to solve problems in land clearance with high determination. The company starts construction whenever having cleared land.

According to an evaluation by the Department of Planning and Investment, the land clearance for implementation of the projects were paid more attention by the districts and city in 2021 but progress of many projects were slower against the plan. The main reason is land clearance problem causing slow handover of land for the investors and contractors and bearing more investment cost.

Besides, the construction materials market has been fluctuated with increasing prices posing risk for enterprises. Specially, the investors have to spend huge financial resources on BT projects including bank loans. Hence, when the projects are delayed and slowed down due to land clearance obstacles, enterprises will suffer great losses due to bank interest.

In order to solve the problem of land clearance, in 2022 the provincial People’s Committee will organize periodical meetings in land clearance to grasp situation of the projects to remove obstacles. In addition, the province directed people’s committee of the districts and city to pay high attention to surmounting obstacles and bear responsibility for implementation progress of land clearance.

Bac Giang attracts 11 investment projects in first three months
