Phung Thanh Tuyen instructs a customer to use the electronic wheelchair.

In January 2021, the National Office of Intellectual Property (Ministry of Science and Technology) issued certificate of brand protection for his creative model.

After that, he focused on completing and renovating the product design to suit the customers’ demand by carefully selecting the components with high stability, safety and duration.

The product is mostly used by the disabled so it is equipped with speed controller and two power packs to prolong the use time up to 120 – 150km per charging time.

Nguyen Thanh Ha, an user in Chinh Lan village, Lan Gioi commune (Tan Yen district) said: “Since I bought this wheelchair, I can visit my neighbour by myself. It is easy and safety to drive the product. I have used it for 4 years without any reparation”.

Differing from other products on the market, when any customer places an order, Tuyen will ask for their demand then design and erect the wheelchair. Each product has individual property that suits to the disability, ensuring the comfort and safety in use.

Currently, his wheelchair has been sold at many provincies and cities across the nation with about 10 – 15 products per month, each worth 10 – 17 million VND (434 – 738 USD). Excluding the production cost, Tuyen can benefit 20 percent of its value.

“After the product brand was protected, the electric wheelchair is widely known by customers who usually seek information on Youtube channel or brand on the product then place order. The sold product increases about 30 percent comparing to the previous time,” shared Tuyen.
