Teacher Bui Thanh Tuan honoured as outstanding teacher for ethnic minority students

(BGO) - On the 37th anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers’ Day 20 November (1982-2019), Vietnam Youth Federation, Ministry of Education and Training and Thien Long Group jointly held the programme “Sharing with the teachers” and honoring 63 outstanding teachers in ethnic minority areas on 15 and 16 November in Hanoi. 

Teacher Bui Thanh Tuan (born in 1986), Secretary of the Youth Union of Luc Ngan boarding school for ethnic minorities is a representative of Bac Giang province honoured at this event.

The school has more than 400 ethnic minority students from grade 6 to grade 12 each year. For over 10 years working in this school, teacher Tuan has been taken the duties as a teacher of Biology and Physical Education and secretary of the school’s youth union. He has advised and recommended the school board with a number of initiatives to improve the teaching quality and nurturing excellent students at Biology and Physical Education.

He has been awarded certificates of merit by the Minister of Education and Training and Chairman of the people’s committee of Luc Ngan district for his outstanding achievements in emulation movements of innovating teaching methods and nurturing excellent students.

At the “Sharing with the teachers” programme 2019, teacher Tuan was awarded certificate of merit by the Minister of Education and Training, Vietnam Youth Federation and Vietnam Committee for Ethnic Minority Affairs, an order of merit of the “Sharing with the teachers” programme and a saving book worth 10 million VND (432 USD).

This programme has been jointly organized by Vietnam Youth Federation, Ministry of Education and Training and Thien Long Group since 2015 in order to honour and encourage dedication of the teachers in disadvantaged areas.

Teacher walks across Vietnam to spread environment message
Nguyen Thanh Tuan Anh returned to Ho Chi Minh city a few days ago after traversing the country on foot to propagate his message of environmental protection. The idea of travelling around Vietnam had been on the 29-year-old’s mind since he started working physical education teacher at a Ho Chi Minh City college. He went with two of his students on June 24 and reached Hanoi on August 16. They had traveled through 20 provinces along National Route 1A covering 1,800 kilometers.
Muong ethnic teacher wholeheartedly dedicates to students
(BGO) – Teacher Nguyen Thi Chinh who is a Muong ethnic person in Hoa Binh province has attached to Tu Son High School in Luc Nam district, Bac Giang province for years with wholehearted dedication to the students in the specially difficult area. 
Affectionate lessons from teacher Duy
(BGO) – In late summer, teacher Duong Van Duy at Nguyen Hong High School in Bac Giang city (Bac Giang province) starts the free tutorial programme to help his students firmly grasp the knowledge and confidently enter new academic year. It has been conducted for many years.
Teacher of many excellent students at Chemistry
(BGO)- In recent 3 years, the training quality of chemistry, a key subject, in Hiep Hoa district, Bac Giang province has been maintained with 80 percent of students in the chemistry team winning prizes at the district-level and provincial contests for excellent students. These achievements have been greatly contributed by teacher Doan Van Tuan (born in 1982), the junior high school of Thang town. 
A lonely but rewarding life for one dedicated teacher
As professions go, you would expect a teacher to not lead a lonely life. Surrounded by hoards of children eager to learn, the job of an educator should be anything but isolated. However, for 55-year-old Pham Van Trieu, his daily routine is as lonely as it gets.
