Two Bac Giang chess players join World Youth Chess Championships

(BGO) – The World Youth Rapid & Blitz Chess Championships 2019 takes place in Spain from September 11 – 17.

Two chess players in Bac Giang province joined Vietnam national young team to vie for medal in the age group of U14 at the event including Luong Hoang Tu Linh and Hoang Quoc Khanh. Two young players will compete in both rapid and blitz chess categories.

Tu Linh (born in 2005) won gold medal in the blitz chess and bronze medal in the standard chess at national young chess tournament 2019 for excellent player. Also at the same event, Quoc Khanh bagged bronze medal at men’s singles standard chess catergory.

In the first competition day (September 11), Tu Linh won 4 lost 1 in total of 5 matches to secure 4 points at women’s rapid chess while Quoc Khanh gained 3.5 points after 5 matches at men’s rapid chess category.

Bac Giang wins 5 medals at national youth chess championship
(BGO) – The National Youth Chess Championship 2019 for Excellent Player, SHB cup was held in Hai Phong province from July 27 – August 4  with the participation of more than 300 young players from 22 provinces, cities and sectors across the nation.

(BGO) – The National Youth Chess Championship 2019 took place at Hanoi Quan Ngua Sports Palace from June 29 to July 10, drawing more than 1,200  young chess players from 43 provinces, cities and sectors nationwide as well as members of Vietnam Chess Federation (chess clubs and training centres).
Grandmaster Le Quang Liem wins World Open chess tournament
Vietnamese Grandmaster Le Quang Liem won the World Open chess tournament which concluded in Philadelphia, the US, on July 7.
