Viet Yen synchronously develops all tourism types
Investing in infrastructure, stepping up tourism promotion
In order to promote its potential, Viet Yen district has issued many mechanisms and policies such as investing in conservation of degrading relics; encouraging the construction of high-class hotels and accommodation establishments; and deploying programmes to promote culture and tourism, and preserve traditional crafts... In particular, the district has planned tourist attractions, built facilities and roads, and connected relics sites in service of tourists.

In January 2021, the Tho Ha Ancient Village Tourism Cooperative in Van Ha commune was established with eight members. The cooperative has developed a suitable sightseeing route. Currently, the roads in Van Ha commune have been widened and asphalted, so visitors can travel easily. The People's Committee of Viet Yen district is investing nearly 30 billion VND (1.3 million USD) to restore and embellish the relic site of Tho Ha pagoda.
Despite being newly established, the ecotourism site of the Bac Giang Agriculture and Forestry University is considered a bright spot in terms of farm experience services for tourists, especially children. With a large space of nearly 30 hectares and diverse experience services, visitors will have the opportunity to sink themselves into nature, visit the conservation area of more than 10,000 individuals with 14 species of birds, vineyards produced according to high-tech agricultural models, fishing lakes, water park, and seasonal flower gardens.
Building linkage between managers, tourist destinations and travel agencies
Viet Yen district has many relic sites ranked by the State, including the special national relic site of Bo Da pagoda (Tien Son commune) and Dong communal house (Bich Dong township), 19 national relic sites and 74 provincial-level ones, 18 quan ho (love duet) villages, which are included in the list for cultural heritage conservation and development.

Every year, Viet Yen attracts about 300,000 tourists, mainly visitors who come to worship Buddha at famous sites. However, they only come during the festive season.
To fix the limitations, in 2022, the district will continue to invest resources to form the infrastructure of pedestrian streets, develop the night economy, and building general urban areas, including those for urban population, administration, culture, commercial services and tourism.
In the project on conservation and promotion of cultural heritage values associated with tourism development in the 2021-2025 period, the district focuses on developing quality tourism products and types in combination with promoting the value of historical and cultural relics sites, becoming a cultural - historical - spiritual tourism center of the province following the planned tourism spaces such as: golf tourism, culinary experience, and sightseeing combined with entertainment. It will build a linkage between managers, tourist destinations and travel agencies to form tours in the district and province.
To accomplish the set goals, the district will focus on synchronously developing high-quality services, calling for investment in building 5-star hotels and resorts, and combining entertainment and golf sports in Trung Son commune.
From now to 2030, the district strives to build and connect spiritual tours and tourism routes: Tay Yen Tu - Yen Dung - Bac Giang city - Viet Yen, focusing on promoting the relic site of Bo Da pagoda, Tho Ha ancient village, the temple of cultural celebrity Than Nhan Trung and a number of relic sites in the locality. It will form a tour to both visit spiritual relic sites and experience community and ecological tourism: Tien Son - Van Ha - Nenh - Hong Thai - Bich Dong - Minh Duc.
