Vietnam establishes National e-Government Committee

The committee will be headed by PM Phuc, while Deputy PM Vu Duc Dam will be its deputy chairman and head of the Government Office Mai Tien Dung will be a standing member and its secretary-general.
The committee’s other members are ministers of the relevant ministries, such as public security, information and communications, and science and technology, as well as the leaders of several major IT companies in Vietnam, such as Viettel, VNPT
The committee is responsible for researching and proposing strategies and mechanisms to promote the building of an e-Government towards a digital government, economy
It will also help the government to direct the ministries, agencies and local authorities to implement the e-Government strategies.
