Vietnam presents medical supplies to Myanmar amidst Covid-19

The Vietnamese government has presented medical supplies, including 325,000 medical masks worth US$20,000, to Myanmar amidst Covid-19.
The medical supplies were handed over to the Myanmar side by Vietnamese Ambassador Ly Quoc Tuan at Yangon international airport on October 15.

The Myanmar side thanked the Vietnamese government for its timely support as Myanmar is facing a shortage of medical supplies.
On October 14, Ambassador Chu Cong Phung, President of the Vietnam-Myanmar Friendship Association, handed over VND540.75 million and 42 boxes of medical supplies to the Myanmar Embassy in Vietnam.
Ho Chi Minh City that set up a twinning relationship with Myanmar’s Yangon region has also presented more than 13,000 masks to the Myanmar side.

controlled, the military doctors and nurses at the Medical Clinic of the
Military Command in Bac Giang province spend time on reviewing the hot time in
pandemic prevention and control. The emotion, encouragement and sharing from
comrades and residents inspire the military medical soldiers to continue completing
the assigned task excellently in needy case.
On September 15, the Standing Committee of the National Assembly passed a draft resolution to add medical supplies and equipment to the list of national reserve products.

province) on 13 September received 150 Vietnamese citizens returning from
Australia to undergo medical isolation.
Quang Nam and Da Nang, Covid-19 hotspots in Vietnam's second outbreak wave, want uniform medical supervision procedures so their residents traveling to other localities aren’t unduly burdened.
The Health Ministry received donated medical supplies for the Covid-19 fight at a ceremony in Hanoi on September 1.
