Vietnam records three more Covid-19 deaths
The three victims are in Ho Chi Minh City, the central hub Da Nang and the northern Bac Giang Province. All are elders that have suffered several chronic diseases before catching Covid-19.
The patient in HCMC is a 74-year-old man living in District 4.

He was admitted to the Covid-19 field hospital in the city’s Can Gio District on June 18 before being transferred to the Trung Vuong Hospital in District 10 one week later.
He was confirmed to die last Saturday of pneumonia and severe respiratory failure caused by Covid-19 on a patient with liver cancer, hepatitis C, heart failure, hypertension, and type 2 diabetes.
The patient in Da Nang is a 72-year-old woman in Thanh Khe District.
She was confirmed with Covid-19 on June 18 and was hospitalized at the Da Nang Lung and Respiratory Diseases Hospital the next day.
She died on Wednesday of severe pneumonia caused by Covid-19, septic shock, and multi-organ failure on a patient with hypertension, obesity, heart failure, gastrointestinal bleeding, and type 2 diabetes.
The patient in Bac Giang Province is a 67-year-old woman in Viet Yen District who was diagnosed with Covid-19 on June 3.
She had been treated at the Bac Giang Tuberculosis and Lung Hospital. As her conditions worsened, she was transferred to the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases in Hanoi on June 13.
She died on Monday of septic shock, bacteremia, progressive pneumonia caused by Covid-19 on a patient with kidney failure, diabetes, and hypertension.
For the ongoing wave that hit Vietnam on April 27, the nation has recorded 70 Covid-19 deaths.
The wave’s community infection tally has reached more than 19,800 as of Thursday morning.
