Vietnamese artists to perform contemporary dances with int’l partners

Eleven contemporary dances will be performed by Vietnamese and international artists at the Krossing Over Arts Festival (KOAF) 2019, the third edition of its kind, in Ho Chi Minh City from April 5-11 and Hanoi from April 13-21.

The event will be co-organised by the French Institute in Vietnam and Kerman Company under the theme “The Roots”, heard a press conference in HCM City on March 26.

Other art forms such as short films, artist talks and workshops on contemporary dance will be held as part of the festival.

Through the lens of performing arts and ordinary activities in artistic form, this year's shows will bring the concept of origin and growth to life.

French Consul General to Ho Chi Minh City Vincent Floreani said he hopes through the festival, visitors will experience different arts and cultures.

KOAF was launched in 2017 by choreographer Sébastien Ly with the support from the French Institute in Vietnam.

“Japanese Culture Festival” opens in Da Nang city

(BGO) – According to the Management Board of Tay Yen Tu spiritual –ecological tourism complex, the destination welcomed 39,000 tourist arrivals in the Bac Giang provincial Culture-Tourism Week 2019 (taking place from February 14 - 20), 80 percent of which used the cable car to visit Thuong (Upper) pagoda or Linh Thong Thien Tu.
 
Mong ethnic minorities’ culture introduced in France
Forty-nine objects featuring the Mong ethnic minority group are being displayed at the La Rochelle Natural History Museum of France’s Nouvelle Aquitaine region from January 31 till December 31, 2019.
