Xuan Cam bridge or Cau river overpass totally stretches 479.5 meters with 12 meter width. The project was constructed with total investment of 110 billion VND (4.7 million USD) from the Government bonds and provincial budget.

The construction was started in 2017 and completed in 2020 in Bac Giang side. However, the section from Xuan Cam bridge in Soc Soc district to Bac Phu intersection of new Hanoi – Thai Nguyen expressway 3 has yet to be constructed so the bridge can not open to traffic.

Implementing the direction from Hanoi municipal People’s Committee, on June 6, 2022, the People’s Committee in Soc Son district issued Decision No.5324/QD-UBND approving for the project to build the connection road between Xuan Cam bridge and Bac Phu intersection.

It has total length of 4.2 km and width of 12m with third grade delta road standard. The project will cost nearly 195 billion VND. The Construction Investment Project Management in Soc Son district was selected as the investor.

So far, the construction contractor and consultants have been selected while the site work is under execution.

Soc Son district strives to complete the land clearance and hand over to the construction contractor by the end of June 2023. As schedule, the bridge will be open to traffic by Q1 of 2024 and put in operation by Q2 of 2024.

The construction progress is accelerated to complete the project early and meet the demand of the people in Bac Giang province and Hanoi city, helping boost the socio-economic development in both localities.
