The District People's Committee has paid due attention to clearing the planned area at Hoang Hoa Tham historical relic site; investing to build Ba Tang Mai communal house and Hoang Hoa Tham temple with a total cost of nearly 200 billion VND (8.6 million USD).

Currently, the district is investing in major items of Hoang Hoa Tham historical relic site and special national relic sites. Other sites have been restored with a total cost of more than 20 billion VND.

Besides, local authority has focused on building the infrastructure, especially the district's internal road system which connects with Hanoi and other provinces for tourism development.

Head of District Culture and Information Department Trieu Van Phuong said the spiritual, ecological, cultural, historical and community tourist attractions in the district are included into the development plan of Yen The district in 2021-2030 period with the vision to 2050.

In order to promote and introduce local tourist attractions and products to visitors, every year, the district People's Committee organizes trade and tourism promotion activities; persuades people to develop culinary products to serve tourists such as Yen The hill chicken, goat meat, wild flower honey, clean tea in Ven village….The district has 28 recognized products under One Commune One Product programme (OCOP) which help bring good income to local households.

Many community and ecological tourist destinations in the district regularly attract numerous visitors such as Ven village, Ngac Hai lake, Nga waterfall, Xuan Luong commune….

Particularly, local authority directed, oriented and facilitated to develop Ven village community-based tourism point. In 2022, the cultural and ecological tourism product of Ven village was recognized as a 3-star OCOP product. It was the first product among the community-based tourism and tourist attractions of the province to be rated.

Yen The district welcomed more than 100,000 tourist arrivals in 2022 and about 130,000 arrivals in the first 6 months of 2023, which proved good signal for local tourism.

The district strives to welcome about 150,000 visitors by 2025 and 200,000 by 2030. Vice Chairman of the district People’s Committee Than Minh Sam said the district will further invest in transport infrastructure to tourist destinations, complete items at Hoang Hoa Tham historical relic site and others.

Besides, local authority strives to call and attract more investors to eco-tourism, resort and community-based destinations; construct golf courses, amusement and entertainment facilities to serve tourism development.

Moreover, the district enhances to propagate and persuade people, business households and enterprises at tourist destinations to invest more and improve the quality of tourism products; beautify the landscape and space; exploit traditional cultural factors toward diversification at these destinations.

At the same time, the district launches various promotion event together with many new tours in and outside the province.
