Creating foundation for development

Implementing the Resolution issued at the municipal Party Congress this tenure, tourism development is defined as one of key tasks together with commercial and service development. Now, the city has created convenient foundation on transport linkage, accomodation service like restaurant, hotel and convention centers.

The National Special Xuong Giang Victory Relic Site welcomes dozens of thousands of visitors annually.

Additionally, there are many recognized historical and cultural relic sites, national treasures, 70 traditional festivals with different scales in the city while the local authority pays due attention to preserving, restoring and promoting the value of tangible and intangible cultural heritage in order to build the tourist attractions.

The city also completed the general plan till 2035 with the vision to 2050 to zone off Song Mai commune to become ecotourism site in connection with resort in Quang Phuc mountain, Dong Son commune become receiving center, tourism service, commerce, golf course and resort.

The city has coordinated with the provincial sectors to plan the area by Thuong river in Tan Tien commune to attract the investment to ecological urban area, entertainment place with the scale of 300 ha, lure the investor to plan more than 1,500 ha with several items of ecological urban, resort, golf course, cultural park, entertainment places…

The role of travel agencies is encouraged by the city to actively promote the connection between the provincial localities and expand linkage to other provinces. The city also supports the construction investor, effectively exploits several tourist sites of Da Mai Rose Garden Studio, Wedding Land Studio in Song Mai commune, Song Thuong Garden in Le Loi ward, Coc Lam temple in Dinh Tri commune…

Creating tourism products

The city instructed to synchronously develop commerce - service and tourism, effectively exploit the local tourism site and areas in the period 2020 - 2025 while linking to the destinations in other localities to create fix tour, developing cultural - ecological - spiritual tourism as well as eco-tour and craft village visit.

To achieve these above results and targets, Vice Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee Nguyen Huu Dinh said the city has boosted up promotion and introduction about the land, people, tourism potential, craft village, historical relics and festivals in the city on mass media, publication, social network as well as event of tourism promotion.

At the same time, the city has reviewed and evaluated the urban plan, land using plan to adjust, supplement and arrange the land fund to develop the tourism infrastructure, focus on planning and drawing investment to some tourism sites, entertainment places, resort in weekend, lure the investor to exploit tourism, service on both sides of Thuong river, high quality hotel systems as well as key cultural and sport projects in the area.

By preserving, restoring the cultural historical relic sites, typical intangible cultural heritage, the city will build spiritual cultural tourism product (tour to National Special Relic Site of Xuong Giang Victory Relic Site, Phu temple, Vinh Ninh communal house, Ke pagoda; Sach Da temple, temple worshipping Laureate Giap Hai); resort and ecotourism (Nham Bien tourism site in the communes of Dong Son, Tien Phong and Tan Lieu; Quang Phuc hill - two sides of Thuong river in connection with visiting to craft villages of vermicelli in Da Mai, Ke rice cracker, Ke rice noodle, Dinh Tri carpenter); entertainment tour at Hoang Hoa Tham and Ngo Gia Tu parks; linkage to build tour from Bac Giang city to destinations in and outside the province.

Bac Giang community based tourism targets to annually welcome at least 1 million tourist arrival

(BGO) – The Chairman of the Bac Giang provincial People’s Committee has approved for the plan to support the development of community based tourism (CBT) in the period 2021 – 2025.
