As of 6 am on March 30, the country had 194 cases positive to SARS-CoV-2, 70 percent of whom returned from foreign countries with the infection. However, the community infection was detected in several places, the NSC defined two big epicenters, namely Buddha Bar and Bach Mai hospital.

Concluding the event, Deputy Minister Do Xuan Tuyen urged the grass root medical system to focus on solving two issues: Detecting the infected case in community and preventing the widespread outbreak.

The localities should thoroughly review the people returning from Bach Mai hospital to place in isolation at home, monitor the health condition and immediately report to district medical center to check the health and take sample for testing in case of arising any suspected symptoms.

Particularly the case returning from Bach Mai hospital and using services at the canteen must be put in concentrated isolation while making the list of persons with close contact to the case.

After the online conference was over, in Bac Giang province, PPC Vice Chairman Le Anh Duong requested the districts and city to seriously implement the instruction from the Deputy Minister of Health while further reviewing the cases returning from Bach Mai hospital since March 12 to date.

The provincial leader affirmed that the risk of pandemic outbreak in the province is now mostly due to the people returning from Bach Mai hospital. Therefore, it is crucial to promptly classify the cases coming home from Bach Mai hospital and using the services at the canteen; patients at the departments of Tropical Disease and Neurology to place on concentrated isolation and take sample for testing.

At the same time, the districts and city should focus on inspecting the Bac Giang’s citizens who work in Hanoi and now stay at the province to make the health declaration and have their health monitored closely.
