Bac Giang province built and implemented provincial Strategy for agriculture development to 2030 with the vision to 2035 and Bac Giang provincial Planning in 2021 - 2030 period with the vision to 2050 which was approved by the Prime Minister.

Accordingly, the province will increase the scale of animal husbandry suitably with priority taken to develop key castle and poultry like pig and chicken; sharply switch scattered family breeding model to farming model that is separate from residential area to avoid environmental pollution; link the value chain from producing, processing and consuming so as to stabilize the market and enhance the added value.

Speaking at the event, PPC Chairman received the suggestions from participants and affirmed that the province always considers agriculture as the advantage point. Bac Giang has focused on switching agriculture so that agriculture economy is developed in associated with circulation farming models and big scale production for export.

The province met difficulties in finding consumption market for farm produce, especially lychee. So, the province has expanded markets, enhanced intensive processing procedure such as drying and freeze drying farm produce for export.

Concluding the meeting, Deputy Minister Phung Duc Tien acknowledged the results recently gained by Bac Giang agriculture sector. He affirmed on the correctness and appropriateness of the provincial strategy for agriculture development that is to develop animal husbandry, fruit cultivation, especially centralized economic forest.

Bac Giang needed to develop both animal husbandry and cultivation; attract more investors to the farming sector to build linkage chains from producing, processing and consuming farm produce.

The grassroots veterinarians keep a crucial role in disease prevention and control on the animal, especially current period with many risky diseases. Thus, the province should promptly research basing on actual condition to reinforce this system.

The Deputy Minister directed the Department of Animal Health to gather African Swine Fever vaccine to inject to one million pig herd of Bac Giang province at soonest time.

The MARD and its departments committed to strictly cooperating to the province in good implementation of the task to develop and restructure the farming sector with highest efficiency toward sustainable development.
