Bac Giang focuses on controlling and monitoring health condition of people coming from Covid-19 affected area

(BGO) – As of February 12, Bac Giang province has 15 Covid-19 suspected cases (new strain of coronavirus as called by the World Health Organization since February 12), in which 14 people tested negative to the virus and 1 case is waiting for the test result who is monitored at the provincial General Hospital with stable condition.

Bac Giang is applying health monitor to 181 people who came from the affected areas, directly or closely contacted to the infected cases. On February 12, the provincial Steering Committee approved the additional list of 32 Vietnamese and 8 Chinese to be put in compulsory isolation at the provincial concentrated areas.

The provincial Center of Farmers’ Vocational Training and Support is used as one of three isolated area.

As of 5 pm on February 12, the province had 25 people including 15 Vietnamese and 10 Chinese put in concentrated isolation at the provincial Center of Farmers’ Vocational Training and Support and the Educational Center of National Defence and Security in Ngo Gia Tu College in Que Nham commune (Tan Yen district).

The compulsory isolation will be stopped after 14 days (since the date they return from the affected area) if the cases show no suspected symptom.

The military forces are on duty at the isolated area at the Educational Center of National Defence and Security.

To date, no Covid-19 infection cases have been reported in the locality. However, among the complicated situation, the provincial Steering Committee continues instructing to implement urgent measures to prevent and control the epidemic.

The districts and city were urged to supervise the people who came from the affected areas, directly or closely contacted to the infected cases within 14 days.

The medical staff asks after the health condition of Hoang Van Truong in Tien Hung commune (Luc Nam district) at the Educational Center of National Defence and Security.

The medical stations in the communes, wards and towns should firmly monitor the health condition of the local residents to timely detect any case with suspected symptom and relevant medical factors to put in the supervision, isolation and treatment.

As of February 12, the global death toll had climbed to 1,115 and confirmed infections topped 45,171. Vietnam reported 15 infected cases without any fatal patient.
