An overview of the seminar. |
The Resolution sets out specific goals such as by 2025, forming three tourism spaces, including the West Yen Tu tourist space associated with "The walking path of the founders of Truc Lam Yen Tu Zen sect”; the space for ecotourism, leisure and entertainment activities under the brand “Luc Ngan - four seasons of sweet fruit”; and the space for ecotourism, leisure and entertainment activities in Nham Bien. By 2030, the province strives to complete and put into operation a national-level tourist area and 10 golf courses, recognize three provincial-level tourist areas and 25 tourist spots, and attract about 7.5 million tourists.
At the seminar, scientists and experts contributed ideas to orient the sustainable, professional and scientific development of tourism in Bac Giang province in compliance with the general plannings of the region and the country. According to Nguyen The Chinh, former Director of the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, it is difficult to build a national tourism area because there is currently no area planned for it. The development of night tourism services, including casino services, is not appropriate. In addition, there are still a few of entertainment sites and souvenir products, leading to low revenue from tourists. Tours bringing tourists to red addresses has not been exploited much.

Dr. Hoang Thi Diep, former Deputy Director of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, stated the draft should mention sustainable tourism development following a professional direction. In particular, it is necessary to build a professional workforce and promote the application of science and technology in tourism development so that the province can compete with other regions, the country, the region and the world. When the capacity is limited, it is necessary to promote intra-regional and regional links to form a tourism product chain, thereby supporting each other to develop faster and more effectively.
Nguyen Thi Thanh Thuc, member of the Executive Board of the Vietnam Digital Agriculture Association, speaks at the event. |
Nguyen Thi Thanh Thuc, member of the Executive Board of the Vietnam Digital Agriculture Association, emphasized the need to clearly identify target customers and their psychology. Each tourism product should be named to target a specific group of customers. Digitalization and digital transformation in tourism need to be done immediately so that visitors can search for local tourism information quickly and easily.
On the basis of comments, the Review Council requests the drafting unit and related units to review, edit, supplement and complete the content to make it scientific and consistent with practical conditions before submitting to competent authorities for approval.
