(BGO) – The northern province of Bac Giang attracted a total
registered capital of 190 million USD in May 2019.
In which, 11 new domestic investment (DI) and 7 foreign direct investment projects (FDI) were licensed totally worth 258 billion VND (11 million USD) and over 162 million USD respectively.

Additionally, the local authority gave a nod for 3 FDI projects to increase their registered capital up to 17.2 million USD.
In accumulation, the province has lured a total investment of 480 million USD, up 86.8 percent comparing to the same period last year including 23 new DI projects with total value of 409 billion VND (17.5 million USD), 26 FDI projects with total registered capital of 311.6 million USD, 12 FDI projects adjusted the capital to add more 151.3 million USD.
Particularly, Bac Giang has attracted a total FDI investment of 462.6 million USD, accounting for 66 percent of the yearly target.
Also, there are 113 newly established businesses in May with registered capital of 640 billion VND (27.4 million USD). Therefore, 405 firms have been set up in 5 months, up 4.4 percent with total registered capital of 3,775 billion VND (161.7 million USD), increasing 17.5 percent.
Lenovo Group seeks investment opportunities in Bac Giang
(BGO)- On 19
February, Nguyen Van Linh, Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee of Bac
Giang province (PPC) received Bai Ping, CEO of Lenovo Group Ltd and some other
members of the Group visiting and seeking investment opportunities in Bac
Giang. The delegation was welcomed by leaders of the provincial department of
Planning and Investment, the provincial Industrial Zones Authority and the PPC
Office.
Vietnamese Australian seeks for investment opportunities in Bac Giang
(BGO)- Recently, at the provincial Department
of Foreign Affairs (DOFA), leaders of Bac Giang DOFA and Business Association
had a meeting with some Vietnamese Australians seeking for investment
opportunities and business partnership in the northern province of Bac Giang.
The meeting was attended by Nguyen Hoang Trung, DOFA’s Director and Nguyen Duc
Kha, Permanent Vice Chairman of Bac Giang Business Association.
Further improving business and investment environment
(BGO) – Nguyen Van Linh, Chairman of Bac Giang provincial People’s Committee (PPC) cum Head of the Steering Board for supporting and investing in enterprises in Bac Giang province (Steering Board) on January 15 chaired a meeting to review the status of local investment support and business development in 2018 as well as execute the tasks and solution in 2019.

(BGO) - On 15
January, Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Van Linh received
Chulsung Lee, Vice President of STS Development Joint Stock company, Republic
of Korea (RoK) and other company members to seek opportunities for investment
in Bac Giang. The working session was attended by leaders of the provincial
departments of Planning and Investment, Industry and Trade, the Industrial Zone
Authorities and the Office of the provincial People’s Committee.
