Bac Giang: Many people join hands in Covid-19 fight
On May 10, the Standing Committee of the provincial Youth Union called for donation and handed over 70,000 medical face masks to pandemic hit areas including 22,500 pieces for Viet Yen district and Bac Giang city, 12,500 pieces for Luc Nam and Lang Giang districts respectively.

Previously from May 3 – 9, all units of provincial youth union appealed for joint efforts from youth members, enterprises to present nearly 40,000 medical face masks, 4,100 soaps and hand sanitizers to local people and students, 1,500 face shields to Steering Board for Covid-19 prevention and control in localities.
The Youth Union in Hiep Hoa district called for its member to develop the creative thinking and pioneer spirit to communicate and call for people’s consensus in Covid-19 fight while posting information on social network (with phone number) to be ready to support families under home isolation condition to buy food and necessities in disease prevention.

At the same day, the Fatherland Front Committee in Viet Yen district received 160 million VND (nearly 7,000 USD) donated by organization and businesses for Covid-19 fight, including the Viet Yen chapter of provincial Women Entrepreneurs Association (40 million VND), Bac Giang Fuji Development Joint Stock Company (50 million VND), Smart Home Asset JSC (50 million VND), Phu Hung Phat Infrastructure Development and Investment JSC (20 million VND).

In Hiep Hoa district, Huy Hoang Pharmaceutical Store in residential group 2, Thang town donated more than 1,200 boxes of medical face masks to the local Steering Board. The medical supplies will be delivered to the concentrated isolation sites, hospitals, steering board in the communes and town for the doctors, nurses and competent forces to fight against the disease.
