Speaking at the event, member of the provincial Party Committee’s Standing Board, Secretary of the municipal Party Committee and Chairman of the People’s Council of Bac Giang city Vu Tri Hai briefed the participants on socio-economic development of Vietnam generally and Bac Giang city while acknowledging the great efforts of the business community and business persons in stimulating development of Bac Giang city.

He added, the Standing Committee of the National Assembly has approved the Resolution on merging the administrative boundaries of Yen Dung district into Bac Giang city, arrangement of communal-level administrative units and establishing the wards belonging to Bac Giang city.

The Resolution will take effect from January 1, 2025. Although, this is a new opportunity for urban development, it poses many issues need to be resolved.

The municipal Party secretary Vu Tri Hai requested competent agencies and all-level governments to strengthen support for businesses and timely surmount difficulties and obstacles to enhance development of production and business activities in a more rapid and effective manner.

Enterprises need to continue stimulating innovation and creativity, make more efforts in production business and actively grasp opportunities to enhance competitiveness in the context of integration and development.

Besides, they were required to accompany the locality in implementing socio-economic development plans and strategies, apply comprehensive digital technology in business administration and operation.

They were expected to continue participating in paying-tribute and social welfare activities to build a more thriving home land.

On this occasion, Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee of Bac Giang city awarded certificate of merit to 16 collectives and individuals, who have made positive contributions to socio-economic development of Bac Giang city in 2024.

Besides, the participants had time attending the seminar on artificial intelligence (AI) and digital business.
