HCM City needs over 10,000 workers
In addition to complying with regulations in the Labour Code, many companies offer extra benefits such as employee shuttle services, fuel allowances, housing support, and meal subsidies.
Businesses, organisations, and individuals in Ho Chi Minh City are seeking to recruit more than 10,000 workers across a wide range of professions, according to Nguyen Van Hanh Thuc, Director of the HCM City Employment Service Centre.

Among the available positions, over 2,800 are for unskilled labour such as seasonal staff and delivery workers. More than 1,300 vacancies are in the manufacturing, assembly, and processing industries; over 1,100 in security services; more than 1,000 in the hospitality, restaurant, and tourism sectors; over 1,400 others in sales and business; and more than 1,500 positions in other sectors.
In addition to complying with regulations in the Labour Code, many companies offer extra benefits such as employee shuttle services, fuel allowances, housing support, and meal subsidies, Thuc said at a job fair in District 4 on May 7, adding the average monthly salary offered ranges from 6 million to over 20 million VND (over 230–770 USD), depending on the candidate’s skills, experience, and seniority.
Thuc noted that at the job fair, 16 businesses participated in on-site recruitment, offering more than 1,300 vacancies.
Notably, the Agrex Saigon Foodstuffs Joint Stock Company is in need of over 600 workers while the Takahiro Joint Stock Company more than 500 employees.
Other major employers such as Furukawa Automotive Vietnam, Circle K Vietnam, and Vinasun Corporation are each looking to hire more than 100 workers each.
Tran Minh Thua, a recruitment specialist of the Takahiro Joint Stock Company, said his company is offering a variety of office-based roles, including accountants, Japanese-speaking assistants, designers, HR personnel, marketers, logistics staff, and interns.
In the hospitality division, it is recruiting receptionists, bartenders, cashiers, assistant chefs, head chefs, and waitstaff. Salaries range from 8 million to 10 million VND per month, or 27,000 to 37,000 VND per hour for part-time roles, he added.
