Bac Giang spectacularly ranks second in provincial competitiveness

(BGO) – The Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) and the US Agency for International Development (USAID) on April 11 announced the provincial competitiveness index (PCI) in 2022 in Hanoi. Chairman of Bac Giang provincial People’s Committee Le Anh Duong attended the event.

Bac Giang province stood in second place for the first time, up 29 paces over last year with highest score ever of 72.8 only after Quang Ninh province with 72.95 score.

Leader of Bac Giang province pays regular field trips to grasp actual situation and proposal to remove difficulty and obstacle for the business.

The result was gained thanks to drastic and synchronous solutions done by the province to improve the business and investment environment; further reform the administration and facilitate business within the legal regulation.

By analyzing and assessing the situation, the province and relevant departments and agencies applied measures to raise each indicator and improve PCI. Particularly, each provincial leader who was in charge of specific group of indicators regularly directed and reviewed the implementation to enhance the index.

Besides, local authority had paid special attention to exchanging and listening to the reflection from people and business so as to timely handle the arising obstacle and difficulty.

New policy on provincial-level inpatient health insurance enhances competitiveness, benefits patients
A new policy that allows health insurance participants who sign up for improper-level medical care at provincial-level hospitals nationwide to have their inpatient treatment costs covered by the health insurance fund with the same benefits and entitlement levels as the primary medical care has increased benefits for patients since it came into effect on January 1, 2021. 
Bac Giang increases competitiveness of mushroom products
(BGO) - Over the past time, the cultivation of edible and medicinal mushrooms in the province has made significant changes. However, the production cost is still higher than that of the same products sold in the market, especially some high-grade mushrooms, which reduces the competitiveness of the local products.
