In early 2019, the Steering Board instructed to successfully organize the Spring Festival and Culture – Tourism Week themed “Discovering the sacred land of Tay Yen Tu” which drew dozens of thousands of visitors.

Besides, the province targets at welcoming over 2 millions tourist arrivals in 2019, including 20,000 foreign visitors to reach a revenue of more than 1 trillion VND (over 43.1 million USD).

To realize this goal, the representatives vibrantly discussed and analyzed at the conference to clarify the shortcomings, limitation and suggested several solutions such as investing in upgrading, restoring and developing the local landscapes and relic sites; arranging the budget to complete the traffic infrastructure and land clearance; actively calling for investment capital socialization to construct the vehicle keeping stations, hotels, restaurants, bus stop.

Additionally, a suitable mechanism should be made to encourage and facilitate the organizations and individuals to invest in tourism project and service. It is necessary for the local authorities to review the tourism site and complex in the approved plan to propose to the provincial People’s Committee to attract the investors.

Concluding the event, Vice Chairman Le Anh Duong urged the departments, member sectors, districts and city to effectively execute the task. He assigned the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism (DoCST) to check the cultural and tourism sites then consult the provincial leader to recognize the cultural relics and tourism site at province level as well as coordinate with the Bac Giang municipal People’s Committee to complete the document to request the Government to honour Xuong Giang Victory Relic Site as national special relic.

Besides, the DoCST should consult the provincial People’s Committee to instruct and create favourable condition to the enterprises so as to promptly construct the second stage of Tay Yen Tu Ecological and Spiritual Tourism Site, complete two community-based sites in Na O hamlet, An Lac commune (Son Dong district) and Ven hamlet, Xuan Luong commune (Yen The district) and research to renovate the promotion method for Bac Giang tourism.

Tay Yen Tu - Prospects for regional tourism connectivity
