Participants discussed cooperation programmes between State management agencies and businesses in the field, as well as shared experience in providing tour packages, improving the quality of human resources, and attracting investment to tourism.

Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Le Anh Duong said the locality will focus on developing spiritual, ecological, garden, community-based, and trade village tourism.

Bac Giang has signed a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation with its bordering province of Hai Duong to develop tourism.

At the workshop, the provincial People’s Committee coordinated with the Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group to launch a smart tourism portal of Bac Giang at htpp://mybacgiang.vn and smart tourism app.

Located in the Lang Son - Hanoi - Hai Phong - Quang Ninh economic corridor and bestowed with stunning natural landscapes like Tay Yen Tu Natural Reserve, Khe Ro primeval forest, Dong Cao plateau, and Khuon Than lake, Bac Giang province possesses a huge potential to build various kinds of tourism products.

The province is home to more than 2,200 historic and cultural relic sites, including Quan ho (romantic duet singing) which was recognized as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, and Ca Tru which was inscribed in the UNESCO’s list of Intangible Cultural Heritage in need of urgent protection.

It has tremendous possibilities to connect local tourism attractions with key tourism sites in the north such as Mau Son (Lang Son province), Nui Coc Lake (Thai Nguyen province), Ban Gioc waterfall (Cao Bang province), Ha Long Bay (Quang Ninh province), and Con Son - Kiep Bac (Hai Duong province).

Tay Yen Tu cable car inaugurated on second day of Lunar New Year

(BGO) – On the occasion of the Launching ceremony of Spring festival and Tay Yen Tu Culture-Tourism Week 2019, Tay Yen Tu Joint Stock Company planned to inaugurate the cable car system from Ha (Lower) pagoda in Tuan Mau commune, Son Dong district (Bac Giang province) to the peak of Yen Tu mountain (about 700 meters away from Dong pagoda) on February 6 (second day of the Lunar New Year).

Tay Yen Tu Tourism and Culture Week to be held

(BGO) - On December 3, the People's Committee of Bac Giang province held a meeting to implement the plan and agree on some contents to prepare for the opening ceremony of the Spring Festival 2019 and the Culture and Tourism Week entitled "Discovering the sacred land of Tay Yen Tu". Le Anh Duong, Vice Chairman of the provincial People's Committee and head of the organizing committee of the festival, chaired the meeting.
