Bac Giang urges regional linkage and boost sale of OCOP product
In 2020, the provincial People’s Committee supported nearly 500 million VND (21,300 USD) to build five stores which introduce and sell OCOP products in the districts of Luc Nam, Yen The, Viet Yen and Bac Giang city. Besides, Hiep Hoa district invested in one store in Thang town.

Bac Giang now has 205 OCOP products (in top leading localities nationwide), 31 of which were rated four star and 174 received three-star title.
According to the provincial Rural Development Division, the provincial OCOP products are basically sold in the province and most of OCOP stores in Bac Giang only introduce and sell provincial products.

Defining the importance of regional linkage and trade exchange in consuming local farm produce and OCOP products, recently the provincial People’s Committee has directed relevant departments and sectors to launch various measures to assist business, cooperative and owners of OCOP products to enhance the production capability, renovate promotion method and product consumption. Besides, the province accelerates online trade promotion and effectively introduces product on electronic commercial platforms.
According to Vice Director of the Department of Industry and Trade Pham Cong Toan, to ease the linkage and consumption of local OCOP product, the Department continues communicating and organizing trade promotion events for OCOP products and farm produce to domestic and foreign markets.

Also, the Department regularly contacts to relevant ministries and sectors as well as the Department of Industry and Trade in provinces and cities, supermarkets, commercial centers and whole sale markets to grasp the information, link the market and supply products in exchange among localities.
Additionally, the Department supports to apply trade promotion on digital platform, open booth on domestic and foreign electronic commercial platforms.
